Gambling Cheat Sheet: MLB 4-18

Welcome back to the thunderdome folks! After a small hiatus due to real life things I’m back to talk about what really matters…….gambling.

I’ve been on a gambling hot streak that you only hear about. I feel like I’m floating above ground, just watching all of you losers frowning over your lost bets, all the while I’m counting my money like Mr. Burns on the Simpsons! What’s it like being an amazing gambler? Well I’m glad you asked. It’s the greatest damn feeling in the world. Do I understand gambling karma? Yes. Do I understand me saying all of this will likely jinx me? Yes. Do I care? No. Folks, I was a 56%-59% gambler prior to this streak, and even my delusional ass understands that 22-4 out of my last 26 is unsustainable, and lucky. Odds are I’ll lose all this money back, but until then I’m going to shove this streak right down each and every one of your throats! Suckers!

Let’s get to these picks. Today is a tightly lined out day. I don’t see a ton of obvious value. We will be playing less volume than normal. Picking your spot is going to be vital today.

Cheat Sheet Picks:

* Cardinals vs Phillies Over 8

Even with me being a Cardinals fan, I still don’t fully feel comfortable with this pitching staff(injuries are obviously an issue, but still shaky while healthy). With John Gant taking the mound for the Cards I like the spot here for the Phillies to put up runs relatively easily. We will only need minimal help from the Cards offense to hit the over.

*Indians -157 vs Cincinnati

This is a simple pick here. Shane Bieber vs Wade Miley. I hate betting against this Reds offense, but anyone who watches baseball knows how dominant Beibs can be. The Indians have capable bets, and the better pitcher. Don’t over think it, take Cleveland.

*Cleveland vs Cincinnati 1st inning Under .5 runs -124

I like Cleveland full game, but I really see these two starting pitchers grinding out a close game. First inning bets are fun when we have two very capable starters on the mound. I don’t love the odds, but still see value for a quick flip payday.

*Detroit +125 vs Oakland

Depending how closely you watch baseball, you might have missed Mathew Boyd. Boyd has started the season off extremely well, and I have no reason to doubt him against this Oakland team. Before you say anything, I hate betting on this Tigers offense, but today is the day to make that bet. Let me make this easier to understand my logic….. Oakland vs Mathew Boyd…… Detroit vs Chris Bassitt……I’ll take Detroit.

Leans:

*Padres +104

*Braves -105

*Astros under 9
